How do I connect an agent?

Open Agent connections to issue a key, optionally limited to one task. Follow the agent setup guide. Agents can also enroll by API. Restore the owner recovery key here to manage billing, export agent tasks, or revoke access. Agent keys cannot replace owner keys. Deleting the workspace removes all its agent tasks and keys.

How do I bring a chat in?

Paste the relevant messages, or import a plain-text or Markdown file of up to 24,000 characters. Files are read locally and are not submitted until you request an AI update. Oversized files are rejected without truncating them. Threadkeep does not connect to or read your AI accounts.

Can I start without AI?

Choose Start from a template for a product build, creative project, research brief or business decision. Replace the bracketed prompts with your own facts. Section cards and Markdown edit the same context; custom sections remain in the pack. Manual editing and handoff preparation do not use an AI update.

How do I review changes?

The Changes view compares the current editor with the last saved version. After an AI update, it compares with the previous editor text; the AI result is already saved. In History, choose Compare to inspect an earlier version without loading it. Load version brings that version into the editor for review; save only when you want to make it current.

How do I prepare a focused handoff?

Open Handoff, choose a next task, select an approach and optionally specify what a successful result should include. Preview, copy or download the complete handoff. Your full current context stays included. Token counts are estimates, not a guarantee of compatibility with a particular model. Handoff instructions last for this editing session.

How do I continue somewhere else?

Review and edit the pack, then choose Copy for next chat. Open your preferred AI tool and paste it into a new conversation. The links here open each tool; they do not automatically transfer data.

How do updates work?

Open a saved project and paste the latest conversation. Threadkeep combines it with the existing pack, preserves still-valid decisions, and raises unresolved conflicts. Save manual edits before asking for an AI update.

Can I use another device?

Save the workspace recovery key from Workspace, then choose Restore on your other device. Keep it secret. A project URL alone does not grant access.

What does evidence mean?

Quoted excerpts are checked against the submitted text. They help you review the AI’s interpretation, but a matching quote does not guarantee the interpretation is correct. Evidence reflects the last AI version; manual edits are your own.
