THREADKEEP / FIELD GUIDE

Keep source checks and uncertainty in your research context

A concise research pack should preserve references and open questions as carefully as it preserves conclusions.

Keep the question and the source together

Begin with the question the research is intended to answer. For each important finding, retain a source reference and enough context to locate the supporting passage. Note the date checked when the underlying information can change.

A statement copied from a conversation may be an interpretation, a quotation or an unsupported assertion. Label the distinction. If you cannot reproduce the source check, mark the finding as needing verification before using it in a report or decision.

Review what the summary leaves out

Compression can remove a qualification that changes the meaning of a claim. Review numbers, dates, exceptions and uncertainty against the material you supplied. Do not allow a tentative explanation to become a firm conclusion simply because it appears in a tidy summary.

Threadkeep organizes submitted context; it does not independently verify the research. Keep sensitive material out of processing inputs and review the privacy notice before using any AI update. Manual editing and export remain available on both plans.

End with the next research decision

Write down what remains unknown and the next source or comparison that would resolve it. This helps the next session continue the investigation instead of restating the same background. Preserve contrary evidence as well as evidence supporting the current interpretation.

After the next session, update the pack with the checked result. Free includes 3 completed AI updates in total. Pro includes 100 each UTC calendar month for research that needs repeated context updates; unused free updates are not a monthly allowance.
